Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 April 2026
1. Introduction
Cloudshot.io ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website and use our cloud management platform. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, the types of cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides more information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device — computer, tablet, or mobile — when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called third-party cookies. Third-party cookies enable features such as analytics and in-app support chat.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
Cloudshot uses three categories of cookies. You can manage your preferences for optional cookies at any time via the Manage Cookies option in the consent banner.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Always active — cannot be disabled
These cookies are essential for the Cloudshot platform to function. They enable core features such as user authentication, session management, CSRF security protection, and storing your cookie consent preference. Without these cookies, services you have requested — such as accessing your cloud dashboard — cannot be provided.
These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is required to maintain your session.
Analytics Cookies
Optional
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with Cloudshot by collecting and reporting information anonymously. We use Google Analytics to measure page views, session duration, traffic sources, and feature engagement. This data helps us improve our product and website experience.
All analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out at any time.
Functional Cookies
Essential to support services
Functional cookies enable enhanced features within Cloudshot. These include cookies from our customer support tool (Intercom) that allow you to access live chat and maintain continuity of your support conversation history across sessions. They are set by Intercom, a third-party service we have embedded.
Functional cookies are placed as part of delivering support services you directly use. They do not track you for advertising purposes.
Note: Cloudshot does not use advertising or marketing performance cookies. We do not track you across unrelated websites, build advertising profiles, or share your data with ad networks.

5. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on Cloudshot are placed by third-party services we use to deliver our product. These include:
- Google Analytics — for website traffic and usage analytics. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Intercom — for in-app support chat and onboarding flows. Intercom's privacy policy is available at intercom.com/legal/privacy.
- Google OAuth 2.0 — for authentication. We do not store your Google credentials. Authentication state is managed securely via session tokens only, with no retention of your Google password or OAuth tokens beyond the active session.
We do not have control over third-party cookies placed by these providers. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for further detail.
6. How We Use Cookie Data
Data collected through cookies on Cloudshot is used only for the following purposes:
- To keep you securely signed in to your Cloudshot account.
- To protect against CSRF attacks and other security threats.
- To store your cookie consent preference.
- To measure how users navigate and use Cloudshot features (analytics), so we can improve the product.
- To provide in-app customer support via Intercom.
We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, run retargeting campaigns, track you across unrelated websites, or sell your data to third parties.
7. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can manage or withdraw your consent for optional cookies at any time using the following methods:
Cloudshot Consent Banner
Use the Manage Cookies option in the consent banner at the bottom of any Cloudshot page to update your analytics cookie preference at any time. You can accept or decline analytics cookies independently of the essential cookies required for the platform to function.
Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will affect the functionality of Cloudshot. Visit the support pages for your browser:
Google Analytics Opt-Out
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Revoking Google OAuth Permissions
If you used Google Sign-In, you can revoke Cloudshot's access to your Google account at any time via Google Account Permissions. Upon revocation, all associated session data is permanently deleted from our servers.
8. Cookies and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
Cloudshot is committed to compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. Where cookies collect or process personal data about you, we ensure that:
- Your consent is obtained before placing non-essential cookies.
- Consent is specific, informed, and unambiguous — presented separately and not bundled with other terms.
- You can withdraw consent at any time as easily as it was given.
- You may exercise your rights under the DPDP Act (access, correction, deletion) by contacting us at hi@cloudshot.io.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our use of cookies changes or as required by applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or an in-app notice.
We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
